on mining. There is economic diversity here with Globe
and Miami with over 20 percent of the employment related
to mining and production of copper. The Miami mine consists
of an open-pit copper mine. Today, natural resources
are still a part of the community’s industries.
Globe and Miami, (the Cobre, or copper valley) form
the heart of Arizona's mining areas.
